Participants will explore foundational content and processes that students should know and be able to use as they progress from Kindergarten through high school. This particular iteration of "Foundations" will emphasize the content areas of Geometry and Measurement. Connections will be made throughout the grade levels to show the development of these ideas. Participants will explore and deepen their own knowledge of mathematical concepts as well as the NCTM process standards. They will also consider applications for that knowledge in the classroom. This course is designed for teachers of mathematics from all grade levels, special education teachers and paraprofessionals.
